The IHL returns with a new-look format for Season 2, splitting the league into two divisions: the IHL Premier and IHL Championship. With several new teams entering the competition, Gameweek One already promises an intriguing start.

The season opens in the Championship as Zirakdum Mighty Dwarves host Oakham Villa in an all-Lyrean Commonwealth clash. Both clubs are IHL newcomers, but Oakham arrive with momentum after recently winning the inaugural Lyrean Invitational.

In the Premier, Salerno Salernknights face Bloom Belugas, with Bloom looking to build on their third-place league finish last season.

Back in the Championship, CN Melvera-Victoria take on the Imperial Feds, as both sides begin their campaigns in the IHL’s new second tier.

The Lyrean Lions return to Premier action against the Exyria Exorcists. The Lions enter the season having recently finished third in the Lyrean Invitational and will be looking to establish themselves among the Premier’s leading sides.

Two more newcomers meet when the Cortesian Comets face the Commons Culprits in the Championship. Commons come into the fixture after finishing second in the Lyrean Invitational, with SapphireFloof ending the tournament as its top scorer.

Finally, reigning CivBowl champions Shiro Tigers begin their Premier campaign at home against the Gothia Goths. Gothia sat top of the league table prior to the CivBowl in Season 1, making this one of the standout fixtures of the opening weekend.
